Navy destroyer second-in-command relieved of duty over refusal to take COVID-19 vaccine –Commander Lucian Kins applied for a religious exemption, which was refused by the Navy | 10 Dec 2021 | A top-ranking officer for U.S. Navy destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill was relieved of duty Friday night over his refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Speaking to Fox News, a senior US Navy official familiar with the situation said Commander Lucian Kins, the Arleigh Burke-class Navy ship’s number-two officer, refused to get vaccinated or tested. Sources tell Fox News that Kins applied for a religious exemption, which was refused by the Navy, and that he later appealed that decision. In a statement issued to Fox News, LCDR Jason S. Fischer, a Navy spokesman, claimed that Kins was relieved of duty “due to loss of confidence” in his ability to perform work duties.
4 States Call in National Guard to Deal With Health Care Staffing Crisis | 12 Dec 2021 | At least four states in recent weeks have called in members of the National Guard to deal with health care staffing issues amid COVID-19 vaccine mandates for hospital and nursing home workers. Late last week, Indiana became the latest state to deploy the National Guard to hospitals. The Indiana Department of Health confirmed to local media that Guard members were sent to 13 facilities after officials with Indiana University Health, the state’s largest hospital system, made the request. Indiana University officials said it’s dealing with “all-time highs” of both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients. Earlier this year, about 125 Indiana University health care workers were fired for not complying with the system’s vaccine mandate, although the hospital said at the time that most fired workers were part-time.
[NB – The concern here should not be Covid-19, but the use of the military, setting a bad precedent for use of armed force to manage medical issues. This is a slippery slope to tyranny.]
29 US States Have Confirmed Omicron Variant Cases, Most Among Vaccinated | 11 Dec 2021 | Ohio and Rhode Island on Saturday became the 28th and 29th states to report cases of the Omicron virus variant. Ohio officials said two cases were detected, both of which were among persons who were fully vaccinated more than six months ago. Rhode Island officials confirmed one case. The patient is fully vaccinated and recently returned from New York… Across 29 states, 110 cases have been reported as of Saturday. Officials disclosed the vaccination status of 66 of the infected individuals. Of those, the vast majority, or 52, were fully vaccinated. Some had even gotten booster shots.
[NB – This is a story we’re seeing repeated across the world: highly vaccinated nations are suffering Covid-19 ‘breakthrough cases’ — probably due to ADE caused by the mRNA shots. But the unvaccinated are being wrongly scapegoated. See this article: “Highly vaccinated countries suffer high infection rates. mRNA shots are likely to blame, but the unvaccinated are scapegoated instead.“]
Hospitalizations, Mortality Cut in Half After Brazilian City Offered Ivermectin to Everyone Pre-Vaccine | 12 Dec 2021 | Early on in the pandemic, before the vaccines were available, the Southern Brazilian city of Itajai offered Ivermectin as a prophylaxis against the disease. Between July and December of 2020, roughly 220,000 people were offered a dose of 0.2mg/kg/day (roughly 18mg for a 200lb person) as an optional treatment for 2 days, once every two weeks. 133,051 people took them up on it, while 87,466 did not. After analyzing the data, a team of researchers spanning several Brazilian institutes, the University of Toronto, and Columbia’s EAFIT concluded in a December pre-print study that hospitalization and mortality rates were cut in half over the seven-month period among the Ivermectin group.
Robert Malone, the inventor of mRNA technology, is against their use for Covid-19. He tried Ivermectin and prefers it as a remedy.
Pennsylvania Supreme Court Ends School Mask Mandate –Department of Education hosts mask-free event as state battles to keep masks on kids | 11 Dec 2021 | The Pennsylvania Supreme Court Friday affirmed a Commonwealth Court decision that said Acting Health Secretary Alison Beam did not have the authority to issue a mask mandate for everyone indoors at schools and childcare centers. It means, effective immediately, school mask mandates are no longer mandatory, although many schools have a local rule that students who wish to wear a mask may still do so. The suit was brought by Pennsylvania Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, a Republican who is running for governor. It was filed personally, as a parent, along with other parents, and not as part of a Senate action.
